Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Totem Finance, part of the Totem World ecosystem. By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the application.

1. License of Use

Totem World grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Totem Finance application for personal and non-commercial purposes. You are not allowed to:

Modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the application.
Use the application for illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities.
Attempt to bypass security measures or remove ads in the free version using third-party software.

2. Nature of the Tool (Not Advice)

Totem Finance is a tool designed exclusively to help you manage and organize your personal finances mathematically. However:

It is not professional advice: The information provided by the application, including mortgage simulators, financial analyses, and the snowball method, is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional financial, tax, investment, or legal advice.
You should always verify numbers and conditions with your official banking institution or financial advisor before making important decisions.

3. Data Responsibility and Local Storage

Since the application operates with a local database, the information resides solely on your mobile device. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data entered and for keeping backups of it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Totem World shall not be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, resulting from data loss caused by breakage, formatting, loss, or theft of your mobile device.

4. Cloud Services and Google Drive API

Totem Finance offers the optional functionality of making encrypted cloud backups by integrating with Google Drive. By using this feature, you agree to the following:

Restricted Access: The application uses Google Drive APIs to create, edit, and delete only the files created by the application itself (such as your backup files). Totem Finance does not have access to other personal files on your Google Drive.
Responsibility: Although the integration is robust, Totem World does not guarantee that the Google service will be free from temporary interruptions. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own Google account.

5. Third-Party Links and Services

The free version of the application includes advertising managed by third-party networks (Google AdMob). We do not control nor assume responsibility for the content of such ads, nor for the privacy policies of the services linked through them.

6. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any dispute arising from the use of the application shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Spain.

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications will become effective upon their publication on this page. Your continued use of the application following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
