Do I need to connect my bank account? +
No. Absolutely not. Totem Finance is designed to give you manual and independent control of your finances. We don't ask for bank passwords nor connect to your bank, ensuring your information is 100% secure and private.
Where is my data stored? Do you sell my information? +
Your data is stored exclusively in a local encrypted database inside your mobile phone. Neither we nor any third party has access to your income, expenses, or debts; therefore, it is technologically impossible for us to sell your financial data.
What happens if I uninstall the app, lose my phone, or change phones? +
Since the data lives on your phone, if you uninstall the app without backing up, you will lose your information. To avoid this, you can activate the Cloud Backup feature, which creates an encrypted file in your own Google Drive account. This way, if you change phones, you just need to restore that backup.
Is Totem Finance a free app? +
Yes, all core features for expense tracking, debt logging, investment monitoring, and financial calculators are completely free. The application and its future updates are kept active through the inclusion of discreet advertisements provided by Google.
Is there a limit to the number of accounts or transactions I can create? +
There is no artificial limit. You can register as many bank accounts, credit cards, debts, and daily expenses as you need; the only limit is your mobile device's memory.
Can I manage different currencies if I travel or invest? +
Of course. Totem Finance is multi-currency. You can register global accounts and monitor the evolution of your cryptocurrencies and stocks in their native currency by adjusting the parameters in the settings.
